Detailed Itinerary
- Day 1 : USA - Bangkok
Our China vacation starts as we board an international flight bound for Bangkok. Cross the international date line.
- Day 2 : Enroute
Due to the time difference and travel time, the day is spent onboard our airliner. Overnight onboard.
- Day 3 : Arrive Bangkok (DS)
Upon arrival in Hong Kong, board a connecting flight to Bangkok. In Bangkok, you are met and greeted at the airport. After being transferred to the hotel, attend a Thai Classical Dance Welcome Dinner Show.
- Day 4: Bangkok (AB, L)
After breakfast, visit and admire the royal splendor of the Grand Palace and Coronation Hall. Buddhism is one of the cornerstones of Thai culture, and we appreciate the level of devotion as we view the Emerald Buddha Temple and the Reclinging Buddha Temple. After visiting the Gems Factory and Thai Silk, the rest of the afternoon is free at leisure. Within walking distance to the hotel are the shopping mall and Central Department Store.
- Day 5: Bangkok (AB, L)
Today, explore the famous Damnern Saduak Floating Market on Bangkok・s klongs (canals). The afternoon is free at leisure; some of us may elect to go on an optional tour to the Rose Garden featuring an exciting Thai Cultural Show.
- Day 6: Bangkok (AB)
After several days of sightseeing it feels good to have a full day at leisure. Spend it exploring the streets of Bangkok doing some shopping or just relax back at the hotel. If you so desire, an optional tour to Ayuthaya Ancient City and Bang Pa In Summer Palace (including lunch) is available.
- Day 7: Bangkok (AB)
No sightseeing has been scheduled as the day is free. You may choose to join an optional tour to the "Bridge Over River Kwai" including lunch.
- Day 8 : Bangkok - Chiang Rai (AB, L, DH)
After breakfast we are free until the transfer takes us to Bangkok・s domestic airport for our departure to Chiang Rai. Tonight dinner will be served at the hotel.
- Day 9: Chiang Rai - Golden Triangle - Chiang Rai (AB, L, D)
After a tour to Chiang Saen, the old capital of the Lanna Kingdom with a million rice fields, we continue our tour to the Golden Triangle where Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar meet at the Maekhong River. Following a delightful lunch, we proceed to Mae Sai, the northernmost town in Thailand well known for its crisp mountain scenery, hill tribes and falls.
- Day 10: Chiang Rai - Hill Tribes - Chiang Mai (AB, L, DS)
On the way back to Chiang Mai, we stop to visit the Hill Tribes of Long Neck and Meo Village. Upon arrival we attend a Khantoke Lanna Dinner Show.
- Day 11: Chiang Mai (AB, L, D)
The past twenty years of Chiang Mai has seen its development into a bustling modern city with a population of over 1.5 million. This morning・s tour visits historical Doi Suthep Temple and the Holy Pagoda containing a relic of Lord Buddha. After lunch your tour continues on to the Thai Handicraft Village, Sankhempeng Silk & Cotton Handweaving Factories, and Borsang, a village renowned for its umbrellas and primitive paper-making. Tonight, you can enjoy shopping Chiang Mai local product at Night Bazaar and leisure walk back to hotel.
- Day 12: Chiang Mai (AB, L, D)
Today・s group activities start off with a tour to see the elephants at work in the jungles. Afterwards, continue on to Chiang Dao Cape and the Meo Village. In addition, you also visit the Hill Tribes of Karen Long Necked.
- Day 13(AB, L)
The full day is free for leisure activities. Also known as ：Lanna；, Chiang Mai enjoyed its golden ages during the 15th century. Today・s free time allows you to gain a deeper understanding of this city as you explore on your own time. If you so choose, you may join an optional tour to the most magnificent and oldest temple in Lamphun and a city tour by horse carriage (lunch included).
- Day 14: Chiang Mai (AB, L, D)
Today・s ：Temple Tour； takes you to the 700 year old Wat Chiang Mun Temple where a lecture has been arranged for you to learn about the role of Buddhism in Thailand・s social, cultural and political life.
- Day 15(AB)
Bid Thailand a fond farewell as you board the homebound international flight.
